About Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Recreation Advisory Councils. Members of Advisory Councils who would like to be more involved and who meet certain requirements can be elected to the offices of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, or Secretary.

Philadelphia Parks & Recreation connects the city’s residents to the natural world, to each other, and to fun physical and social opportunities. We manage historically significant Philadelphia events and special venues, and we work with communities and organizations, leading capital projects and introducing creative programming.

Since the Park Police Department has been the primary law enforcement agency tasked with policing Minneapolis parks. The seven-member Advisory Council will meet monthly with MPRB personnel to discuss topics that are important to the MPRB and park patrons and to.
